Restoration

The starting point of the transformation’s project for this home responded to the specific needs of a young client. The removal of a bathroom at the ground floor and the new design of the very intrusive staircase that connected the two levels of the house allowed to free spaces for new uses. Therefore, the pivot of the new organization has been the staircase, which offered the possibility to exploit the upper floor height in height and allowing thus a spatial arrangement that - even with opening on the walls - made the perception of the rooms more fluid and consented to create a small loft/mezzanine dedicated to reading.
